Ingrowing Toenails

Updated: Nov 4, 2022

An Ingrowing Toe Nail is when a piece of nail pierces the flesh of the toe It can be extremely painful and inflamed or infected. In sever cases it can cause a discharge ( pus) and swelling of the side of the toe which can bleed very easily.

If you think you have an ingrowing toe nail you should make an appointment with a Podiatrist as soon as possible. If treated by one of our Podiatrists early enough, we can often resolve the issue easily ( sometimes in a single appointment).

Should we be unable to treat the toe conservatively and Nail Surgery is required either a Partial or Total Nail Removal, at AA Podiatry we aim to offer surgery within 7 days of your initial consultation so as to relieve discomfort as quickly as possible.
